Where is Bintan?
As you can see from the map, Bintan island is one of islands within Riau Archipelago situated in South China Sea and very close to Singapore.

How to get in to Bintan?
If you are in Singapore you go to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal Singapore. From here you can take ferry either to Tanjung Pinang or to Bintan Resorts. Look here for ferry schedule to Tanjung Pinang and here for ferry schedule to Bintan Resorts.

If you are in other parts of Indonesia, you have to goto Batam Island first. There are flights from most big cities in Indonesia to Hang Nadin International Air port, Batam. Here is Flight Schedules to Batam from domestic airline companies and from various city in Indonesia.

From Batam Airport you go by taxi to ferry terminal. There are several ferry terminals in Batam. If you want to go to Tanjung Pinang, you must go Telaga Pungur Ferry Terminal Batam. From here you can take ferry to Tanjung Pinang (about 1 hour). There is no fix ferry schedule, however ferry will departure for every hour. Last Ferry from Batam to Tanjung Pinang at 8pm local time, but better not to wait until last ferry.

If your destination is Bintan Resort, you have to go to Batam Center Ferry Terminal and then take Speed Boat to Bintan Resorts (30 to 45 minutes). The departure schedule is not every hour. Please check schedule at the terminal.
